Hartwell House |
| Description: | Hartwell House |
| Commentary: | Hartwell House is situated near Aylesbury, about 60 km in the north-west of London. Louis XVIII, the Duchess of Angoulême and the royal court lived 5 years in the exile here: from April 1809 until the restoration of the French monarchy in April 1814. Since 1989 the building is an exclusive hotel. At Hartwell House nobody doubts that the Duchess of Angoulême is the real daughter of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette. |
