The author has no doubt, that the Dark Countess of Hildburghausen was the French
princess Madame Royale. In that publication she describes, which principality
knew the secret of the Dark Countess and who helped her to protect the
secret. She explains the relations between the European principality
Bourbon, Hohenlohe, Mecklenburg-Strelitz and Hessen-Darmstadt and
describes the way, by which Madame Royale and her guardian L.C. van der
Valck came to the Duchy Saxony-Hildburghausen in 1807.
In 2003 was published an updated reprint.
