Content:
In the memoirs Diana von Pappenheim (born as Waldner-Freundstein) states, that Madame Royale has been several months in Strasbourg in the house of the royalist Vicomte Renouard de Bussierre, who was at the court of Versailles and had helped her to the flight. Her family was friends with the family Bussierres and Diana has known Madame Royale during her visits there. This statement suggests an exchange of Madame Royale, because the official history reports nothing about a stay of the princess in Strasbourg.

But if we follow the publication by Wieden (2006): Die Geliebte des Königs. Diana von Pappenheim am westphälischen Hof. In: Burmeister (Hrsg.) (2006): König Jerome und der Reformstaat Westphalen. Die Geschichte unserer Heimat Nr. 45, Hessische Forschungen Nr. 47. page 95-124, the memoirs are a falsification and the information about the stay of Madame Royale in Strasbourg is not true.
